eks Energy with its energy storage turnkey products will solves all the technological aspects related to frequency control ancillary services
Katherine Solar Farm is located at the southern end of the Darwin-Katherine Interconnected System, the electricity network serving the majority of the Northern Territory population.
The 33 MW solar array will be coupled with a 6 MW battery with the goal to provide stability to the Northern Territory’s 200 MW grid through frequency response and ramp-rate control.
UK’s large-scale solar contractor British Solar Renewables (BSR EPC) was awarded a contract to deliver engineering, procurement and construction for this solar project; counting with eks energy storage solutions to integrate the 6 MW/3,5 MWh.
