Smart PV solutions for the integration of a Photovoltaic Plant within the framework of the Andes Solar project, in the Atacama Desert Chile
80 MWn of our Smart PV solutions were used to commission 86 MWp PV within the framework of a broader project called Andes Solar IIa.
Despite the challenges resulting from extreme conditions such as the Atacama Desert, the efforts of the eks Energy team managed to guarantee its operation.
This solar park consists of a total of more than 20 Inverter Stations, each of them composed of an eks Energy SmartPV inverter based on WD3 technology, an MV transformer and a protection cabinet, in addition to the PPC control solution.
eks Energy was in charge of commissioning the photovoltaic inverters, checking the correct installation and operation of the power system. Each inverter station has 3 power modules, which are capable of producing more than 1 MW of energy each.
The entire team has far exceeded expectations, meeting deadlines and work times despite having to endure very harsh conditions.
In addition, all safety, health and hygiene measures, especially during this time of health crisis, were respected.
